COGGINS TEST - EQUINE INFECTIOUS ANEMIA

*Any animal undergoing a procedure with a risk of bleeding (i.e surgery, endoscopy, emergencies, etc.) or staying at the hospital for any period, is required to have a current negative Coggins upon arrival. * If one is not provided, a veterinarian will submit samples for an ELISA Coggins upon your arrival and at owner's expense. APPOINTMENTS

Regular appointment hours are Monday – Friday between 9am and 5pm. Please call (336) 998-7131 to make appointments.

Emergency services are available 24/7. You can reach us during normal business hours at  (336) 998-7130 our emergency line.




BEFORE ARRIVAL 

 If you have a current Coggins, vaccination records, and all other medical records sent to our office prior to your visit. This gives our veterinarians and staff time to review your records and ensure your horse is provided the best care. If your horse is not up tp date on Coggins or vaccines, we can make arrangements to get them back on track.  




UPON ARRIVAL 

Please stop your vehicle in front of the sign in the center of the driveway and call  (336) 998-7131  to check in and receive parking directions. It is important that you check in. It is important that you check in with us before parking or unloading so that we can keep the hospital running smoothly and assist with the flow of traffic.  

* Due to safety to our staff and clients, we do not allow traffic to go behind the building without permission. Please touch base with reception if you feel you need to pull around the building. *




HOSPITALIZATION

If your animal is admitted to the hospital, a written estimate for care will be provided. This estimate will note the amount of deposit required at the time of drop-off. All fees and charges associated with  hospitalized patients will be due and payable at the time of discharge. This policy applies to all accounts. Total charges for the hospitalized patients can be obtained on the day of discharge. If at any point during the hospital stay you would like an updated list of charges already incurred, you may inquire with the front desk. SURGICAL PATIENTS 

If your equid is scheduled for surgery, they will be required to have a current Coggins.  Veterinarian administered Tetanus vaccination is also required at least 3 weeks prior to the procedure. Please have your records sent to the front office via fax (336) 998-7136 or email [email protected] If your equid does not have a current Coggins or Tetanus, we will submit an ELISA Coggins test and vaccinate them against Tetanus on the day of drop-off.

Payment is due at time of services rendered. We accept cash, in-state personal checks and all major credit cards. This includes MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Paypal and CareCredit.
