  • Jimmy Petty
    Jimmy Petty
    Farrier

Jimmy’s passion for the field of farriery began at a young age. His grandfather was a trainer and breeder and his uncle was a farrier by trade.

More than three decades later, Jimmy is an AFA Certified farrier with accreditation by the American Association of Professional Farriers. As well as, a member of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Horse Council, a member of the board of directors for the North Carolina Horseshoers Association and President of Cabarrus County Saddle Club.

He is committed to continued education for not only myself but all in our field. It takes an army to keep horses competing and living to their fullest potential.

Two things he lives by are… “you have to take always and never out of your vocabulary in the farriery business” and “you have to put the horse above ego.”

“Being a farrier is not a business for me, it’s a lifestyle… I have dedicated my life to my friend, the horse.”
